Iris folding cards are a beautiful art form that originated in the Netherlands, blending paper craft and origami techniques. A card begins with a pattern drawn onto the front of a heavy cardstock. This pattern is then cut into the cardstock, and strips of colored paper are folded and inserted into the cardstock to form a design. The resulting pattern looks like an iris flower, hence the name. Iris folding cards can be used to create beautiful, unique cards for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. With a little bit of patience and creativity, you can make beautiful, one-of-a-kind cards that will be treasured by the recipient.
